Sara Bendrick is a licensed landscape contractor who has a following of more than 40K on Instagram. She is using the platform in its truest form for self-broadcasting to a public audience. In the post I selected, Sara creates engaging DIY content for her viewers inspiring them to work in their own backyards. In most of her Instagram posts, Sara is seen working on various projects herself, demonstrating her vast expertise in landscaping.

This specific post utilized many forms of communication as it has video, sound of Sara speaking to the camera and even a popular energetic music soundtrack. She also uses a variety of hashtags with every post to be picked up by a larger viewing audience. Sara Bendrick has collaborated with a high-end outdoor power equipment company, STIHL, to help demonstrate her authority in the products she uses. The STIHL partnership is also visually prevalent in the clothing and protective apparel that Bendrick wears in her videos. She has intentionally cultivated a professional brand image for herself, and one that is revered by followers of STIHL too. By tagging STIHL in her posts and using their equipment properly, Bendrick cross-promotes her brand with theirs and gains additional traffic and impressions.
